At Arise Prosthetics, research and development in the field of Prosthetics and Orthotics is an important part of our commitment to improving patient care. Through research we deepen our understanding and constantly strive to provide the best possible patient care. The goal is to minimize the guesswork with a history of proven solutions. Research ultimately minimizes costs for all parties involved. When we treat the patient correctly the first time, we eliminate unnecessary expenses, which saves the patient, practitioner and payer both time and money. Arise Prosthetics has been involved with several research projects and presentations including; 1) "Determining Muscle Firing Patterns in Lower Extremity Prosthetic Gait" and 2) "Approximating Energy Expenditure During Walking." We are also members of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, American Board for Certification, American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association, Operation Stroke, Amputee Coalition of America, and AAOP Gait Society. Mark Werner, president of Arise Prosthetics, is also Vice-President of the Arizona Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. Our staff attends a variety of educational seminars, and stays informed of other innovative research studies. These combined efforts all increase our knowledge of the Prosthetic and Orthotic fields, which in turn means optimal patient care for you. If you are willing to participate in a research study, please contact our office. |
